What started as a challenge for genius prodigy Riri Williams ended up becoming a secret project to create her own suit of armor. Using reverse-engineered technology from the outdated Iron Man Armor Model 41,[1] Riri began constructing her own prototype Iron Man Armor, using stolen material from her college campus. However, when campus security became aware of her activities, Riri took the prototype and fled.[2]

Riri debuting the suit

After flying around the country trying to get the hang of her suit's flying capabilities,[3] Riri intercepted a couple of inmates escaping from the New Mexico State Penitentiary. She managed to stop the speeding truck they were using as a escape vehicle, but at the cost of her armor's integrity.[4]

Using a improved version of her armor with an A.I. and advanced weaponry, Riri assisted Iron Man fight the forces of Captain Marvel during the second superhuman civil war.[5] Riri continued to use the armor when she decided to carry on Iron Man's legacy after he fell into a coma.[6] Riri would subsequently replace the crude suit with a much advanced version built with the help of an A.I. modeled after Tony Stark.[7] Before ditching the suit, Riri used it for training against an army of Iron Man suits remotelly controled by the A.I. Stark.[6]

Riri's armor uses technology derived from the Iron Man Armor Model 41.[1] The first version included communication systems and a HUD, however, it was still very crude and only allowed its user to fly. The lack of A.I. integration proved to be a liability, making it hard for its user to properly handle the suit.[3] The second version of the armor included Riri's home-grown computer system.[8]

Offensive Powers

The initial version of the suit posessed no notable offensive abilities. It enhanced the strength of its wearer, allowing them to flip over a speeding truck, but it fractured on impact.[4] When the armor was rebuilt, it included repulsor blasts and improved durability. A curious feature of the armor was the gauntlets' ability to propel away from the rest of the suit in order to physically attack a target from afar and then return to its wearer.[8]

Defensive Powers

This armor poor integrity, breaking down on impact with a speeding truck.[4] The second version was strong enough to resist impacts from giant monsters and deliver powerful punches. It was also capable of creating a "zero-point energy bubble" force-field to contain enemies. Magnetic force-fields can be used to attract objects at will.[8]
