Sir Isaac Newton was the Father of Hydra, who had birthed Hydra from the Spear. He and Nostradamus protected Hydra's Steve Rogers from the incoming reality warp, allowing him to emerge in Earth-616.

History

In a history altered by the sentient Cosmic Cube Kobik, Isaac Newton visited Ashomia in the past and burned it down after stealing the "Hidden Arts." Newton later birthed Hydra from the Spear and became the Father of Hydra; Ashomia became "the source of all Hydra's power." Newton also made Daniel Whitehall the Kraken.

Summoning Steve Rogers to Ashomia

Sensing that the Allies were going to use the Cosmic Cube to rewrite reality (to Earth-616), a Hydra-indoctrinated Steve Rogers was summoned to Ashomia where he met the Kraken, Newton, and Nostradamus. They had Rogers enter a special pool to protect him from the reality warp.

• This character is based on the Sir Isaac Newton from Jonathan Hickman's S.H.I.E.L.D. & S.H.I.E.L.D. (Vol. 2), instead of the real-life historical figure.
  • In Earth-616, Sir Isaac Newton was the leader of the Brotherhood of the Shield (the Shield in the West). Hydra was the Spear in the East. It is not explicitly stated that Newton was involved in the Spear's transition to Hydra in Earth-616's main history.

Trivia

• When Hydra Supreme Steve Rogers used the Cosmic Cube to rewrite the present-day Earth-616 to his own timeline, a statue of Isaac Newton appeared in place of the Lincoln Memorial.
