History

Isabelle was an orphaned child who lived with her foster family. One night, while drawing in her room, she witnessed a murder committed by Elektra commissioned by Wilson Fisk (the Kingpin), through the window of her home.[1] To prevent the girl from being killed, Elektra asked Emma Frost for help in making Isabelle forget about the murder, but when they got to her, she had already told her parents and they had already warned the police, resulting in a squad of corrupt cops being on their way to kill the girl, per Kingpin's orders. The two women, with the help of Spider-Man, managed to get the girl to safety, but Emma had to send her to England with a new identity, for her own safety. Later, unbeknownst to Emma, Isabelle was trained in martial arts by Elektra herself, trying to make amends for causing her suffer such a traumatic event.[2]

Years after this life-changing event, Wilson Fisk, now the Mayor of New York, seeking to get revenge on Emma for thwarting his move against the X-Men operations as part of his crackdown on vigilantes, had it was revealed that Emma had been the last one to see Isabelle before her disappearance. To clear up her name, Emma flew to England, reencountering Isabelle all grown up, and asked her to accompany her to New York, where she revealed the truth to the Daily Bugle reporter Ben Urich, successfully getting the truth out there and putting Fisk in a bad light.[3]

With Isabelle's return to the UK being somewhat complicated after having attacked police and Union Jack, Emma advised her to see the world instead, assuring her that she'd be welcome in any Hellfire Club mansion.[3]
