According to Rocket, Jackie Lrurt is famed for being the greatest weapons designer in the known universe, Gamora also noted that Thanos considered Jackie dangerous enough to keep tabs on. According to legend, Jackie created a doomsday device so powerful that the Nova Corp paid her a fortune not to build it. At some point Jackie went into hiding years ago on the planet Cindra and lives in seclusion, though Rocket believes she just retired, she also built a planet size security system around Cindar to keep anyone out.
After a lifetime designing weapons of war, she decided to build something to help people, that's when she created guardian model robots called J.L. Sentries with adaptive learning capabilities. However the Sentries command programming was too basic and only learned to become more war-like, which led them to turn against her combat model robots the Ultroids, the robots continued an ongoing war that led waist to the planet. Before her robots war completely engulfed the planet and spread beyond that, Jackie had no choice to build her doomsday device, an EMP detonator powerful enough to destroy every robot on the planet but she was captured by the Sentries before she could use it. They kept her alive so that she would build them a weapon against the Ultroids.
The Guardians of the Galaxy came looking for Jackie for her assistance in disabling J'son's Nova helmet, but are met with the J.L. Sentries who managed to capture them and through them behind bars, there is where they met Jackie who explained the current situation. The Sentries then took Jackie to torture her until she complies with their demands, luckily she is then saved by the Guardians of the Galaxy and were able to escape the planet. They conjunct a plan to get back to her fortress to to used her EMP detonator. As Peter distracts the robots with a game of Tic Tac Toe, Jackie and the rest sneak into the fortress and active the doomsday weapon but is destroyed by the Ultroids, they fight back by operating Jackie's mech suits and head outside to assist Quill. During the battle Rocket has the idea to fuse the five mech suits into one bigger mech which he dubbed the "Jackie Hammer". As the battle continues, Jackie tells Rocket how to create an EMP blast by expelling all power in the the mechs core into a single magnetic core, shutting down all the robots including their mech. He managed to set the bomb off but regrets to have destroyed all of Jackie's inventions. As the guardians prepare to leave, Jackie decides to stay and fix her damaged inventions, she then admits that she can't stop J'son's Nova helmet's and encourages Rocket to stop them himself as her successor.[1]Notes

- Rocket is Jackie's biggest fan, having merchandise of her in his room and utmost respect for her.
- He even tried to get her autograph as well as a selfie and her approval but could not get pass her security system.
