History
After serving in the British Army, 'Black' Jack Tarr went on to work for MI6, the British secret service. In MI-6, Tarr came under the command of Sir Denis Nayland Smith.
Many years later, Smith called upon Tarr's aid to defeat Shang-Chi who had supposedly killed Smith's old friend Dr. Petrie[2]. Shang-Chi became their ally and they banded together to oppose Shang-Chi's father, the criminal overlord Fu Manchu[3].
After they defeated Fu Manchu, the group stayed together as Freelance Restorations.Attributes

Black Jack Tarr is an excellent hand-to-hand combat, and is experienced in using firearms.
Trivia
- In his first appearance, Black Jack Tarr was balding with only a little bit of black hair around his ears. Subsequent appearances however, portrayed him with a full head of hair.
