History
Jacob Sheridan married Amanda,[1] and had several children with her. Jacob mined gold in Alaska, in hard conditions while his wife lived through the harsh Alaskan winters.[2]
During one of these Alaskans winters, a Kodiak bear harassed Jacob and Amanda, prompting them to climb a tree quickly; then the bear refused to leave, Amanda theorizing that they were the only available food, so the Sheridans were forced to kill it.[1]
Jacob died,[1] but the gold he obtained became the start of his family's huge fortune that Amanda expanded in an industrial company, Sheridan Industries.[2]Notes
- In Power Man Annual #1, Amanda says that her grandson Thomas and his family were killed by Moses Magnum. In Spider-Woman #34, Amanda's great-granddaughter Samantha says that her parents and siblings were killed by Moses Magnum. This may be interpreted as Thomas being Samantha's father - but in that case, Amanda's sentence would be misleading, "My grandson's family, Cage -- murdered by Moses Magnum", as not all of Samantha's family had been murdered. This article thus assumes that Thomas is not Samantha's father, and that Moses killed both Thomas and Samantha's father (who was also Thomas's brother).
