History
The history of this incarnation of Logan most likely largely mirrors that of his Earth-616 counterpart. Only a few key moments from his history are ever seen. An unknown amount of years ago, he was sent by S.H.I.E.L.D. to steal a Carbonadium synthesizer from a military facility in Siberia, where he first faced off against Omega Red.[1] Ten Years ago, Logan met and befriended Tesshin Asano in Japan. At another point in the past, Logan became a member of the X-Men; under the code name Wolverine. He also met and fell in love with Mariko Yashida. One night, while they were on a yacht in New York, they were attacked by A.I.M. soldiers.[2]
A year after this attack on the yacht, Mariko had gone missing, while Logan was still in New York. When Tesshin Asano came to New York to seek out Logan, Logan saved him from an attack by A.I.M.[2] Tesshin told Logan that Mariko was being held captive by her father, Shingen Yashida, and forced into a marriage with Hideki Kurohagi. Determined to rescue her, Logan accompanied Tessin to Tokyo, but found himself opposed by Shingen and his organization, the Kuzuryu. The mission became more personal when Tesshin was seemingly killed by Kikyo Mikage, an assassin hired by Shingen.[3] In his adventure, Logan gained a new ally in Yukio, who wanted Shingen dead because he had killed her parents, but also found himself attacked by his old nemesis, Omega Red. After disposing of Omega Red, Logan and Yukio followed Shingen, Hideki, and Mariko to Madripoor.[4]
After several more misadventures during which Logan fought the guardian statue Vadhaka,[5] and was tricked by Yuko's grandfather, Koh, to help him and his gang get to the Dragon Palace via Hell Road,[6] Logan reached the Dragon Palace.[7] There, he defeated Shingen in a last fight, but; allowed Yukio to kill him so that she could have her revenge.[8] With unexpected help from Kikyo, Logan made his way to the catacombs of the palace where Hideki was holding Mariko prisoner. As a last effort, Hideki shot Logan with a poisonous dart that was supposed to kill him despite his healing factor, but Logan managed to pull the dart from his body before receiving the entire dose, and used the remaining poison to kill Hideki. Unfortunately, in the struggle, Hideki's gun went off and the bullet fatally injured Mariko, as all of Logan's efforts were in vain.[8]
Later, after Logan's adventure on Madripoor, he and the X-Men had to fight Jean Grey when she went on a rampage due to losing control of the Phoenix Force. She eventually sacrificed herself in order to prevent herself from destroying the world. After her death, the X-Men disbanded. A year later, Logan was contacted by Professor X who decided to reform the X-Men. Logan was the first to join and helped him re-enlist Cyclops.[9]
Back in Madripoor, Logan helped Blade and Makoto fight the assassin Lucius Issac. After Issac's death, Logan gave Blade information to find Deacon Frost.[10]Attributes
