History
Chief Largo was a police officer with a mysterious past who became involved in the lives of Bruce Banner and his wife Betty. He proved to be more than he seemed; Largo and five others had been dying of exposure to Gamma radiation and had accepted an offer of help from The Leader, who to their horror made them into freaks by decapitating them and grafting their heads onto android bodies. Chief Largo was sent to recruit the Hulk to help the group, who now called themselves the Headshop, get revenge on their creator, but their scheme ultimately failed.[citation needed]
