History

Jim Rhodes was a member of the Avengers when the heroes lost the fight against a supervillain, leading to the Earth getting scorched and becoming uninhabitable in process. He was among the heroes who survived the cataclysm and went underground to escape the lethal radiation. He eventually had a daughter named Carol, named after Captain Marvel. Carol outlived both of her parents by 2051 A.D.
