James Wesley's history is presumably similar to his Earth-616 counterpart's. After the Kingpin learned that Spider-Man had started to kill criminals, Kingpin asked Wesley to make some calls to criminals he could hire to stop Spider-Man. The criminals failed, however, and were killed. Spider-Man then attacked Fisk[1] and nearly killed him.
Fisk was left crippled by Spider-Man's attack. Fisk became outraged when Spider-Man was later acquitted of the crimes he committed. Wesley revealed to Fisk that their scientists were able to obtain the surviving offspring of Spider-Man's black suit, which could be used to not only heal him but get his revenge on Spider-Man.[2]
