History
Jane Foster shared history with her counterpart from Earth-199999 up until her arrival to Asgard in 2013, where she was discovered to have the Aether inside of her. While in Earth-199999 reality she was snuck out of Asgard into the Muspelheim by Thor, where Malekith took the Aether from her body into himself, in this reality Jane was ambushed in her chambers by Rocket, who along with Thor time-traveled into the past of 2013, seeking to retrieve the Reality Stone in order to use it to undo the Blip caused by Thanos in their timeline. Rocket stuck a mechanical device into Jane and extracted the Reality Stone, after which he escaped the Asgardian guard and reunited with Thor, before returning back to year 2023. Captain America later returned to 2013 and returned the Aether to its proper place.[3]
Notes
- Natalie Portman portrays Jane Foster in Avengers: Endgame through repurposed Thor: The Dark World footage that had been left unused. Because of this, Natalie Portman didn't have to step on set once to be in the film.[4]
