History

Janos Quested was a mutant. In 1962 he was a member of the Hellfire Club, serving as one of Sebastian Shaw's enforcers alongside Azazel, helping to instigate the Cuban Missile Crisis. Following Shaw's death, Quested and the other remaining Hellfire Club members, chose to join Magneto as a founding member of the Brotherhood of Mutants.

• Wind Manipulation: Riptide was able to create whirlwinds of various sizes and strength, from small ones formed in hand and capable of hurling an adult man across the room, to bigger ones capable to overturn vehicles and to a full-sized tornado that demolished a building.
