History

Jason Wyngarde was a member of the Hellfire Club, an exclusive club that was willing to use nefarious means to increase its power. After sensing the power the Phoenix-possessed Jean Grey, Wyngarde used his illusionary power along with the telepathy of the White Queen to brainwash Jean Grey and have her join the Hellfire Club. This led to a fight between the Hellfire Club and the X-Men, leading to Jean Grey to become the Dark Phoenix and turning on Wyngarde as well as exposing his true appearance, which he concealed using his illusionary power.

Wyngarde late presumably died when his reality was destroyed.
