History
Northstar was a member of Alpha Flight who helped to recapture Wolverine.
When the X-Men attempted to rescue Wolverine, the Canadian military contacted Alpha Flight for direction. Northstar did not reply to the message and deleted it. Without instruction from Alpha Flight, General Chasen shot down the X-Men's plane, killing all aboard.
Alpha Flight, under Wolverine's leadership, went on to battle many evils. The team was eventually sent to New York City to rescue Jean Grey from the Hellfire Club. Once there, Grey revealed herself as the Dark Phoenix. She revealed Northstar's betrayal and urged Wolverine to kill him. Wolverine attacked him but did only minor damage and turned on Grey, killing her.[1]
