Jean Grey was possessed by the reality warping mutant Proteus and went on a rampage, forcing the Soviet Super-Soldiers and the X-Men to work together to stop her. Jean was eventually freed from Proteus' possession when Professor X convinced Proteus to possess him instead.[1]
