History

Lawyer Jennifer Walters was heavily injured after being shot by mobsters. She needed an emergency transfusion of blood, and the only one who could save her was her cousin Bruce Banner, also known as the Hulk. The radiation present in Banner's blood gave Jen powers similar to his, allowing her to become the She-Hulk, a more stable version of Bruce Banner's alter ego.

She was one of the many heroes who joined S.H.I.E.L.D.'s alliance against villains after a mysterious Pulse hit the Earth and left a material called Isotope-8, desired by both heroes and villains.

As Skirn

With the arrival of the hammers of the Worthy to Earth, Jen became possessed by the hammer of Skirn when investigating the landing site of the weapon.

Possession of the Hammer of Skirn gives her much greater resilience and an immunity to poison and radiation (among other things).

Notes

Her costume as Skirn incorporates several aspects of the costume worn by the Skirn of Earth-616, along with aspects of her traditional costume. Although some of the Skirn aspects were bits of Titania's costume before becoming Skirn.
