Drumm became Sorcerer Supreme after his predecessor Doctor Strange died gathering information to use against Apocalypse. He was a member of Wolverine's Defenders who planned to end Apocalypse's rule. During the Defenders' attack on Apocalypse's fortress, they were forced to travel through the Dark Dimension. When confronted by Dormammu, Drumm stayed behind to fight Dormammu so the other Defenders could flee. Shockingly, Drumm's teammate Nathan Summers took his Eye of Agamotto before fleeing, leaving Drumm defenseless against Dormammu and ultimately leading to his death.[1]
