History

Jessica Jones developed superpowers at the age of sixteen. Instead of having the powers of Knightress; however, she could absorb those of others, similar to Rogue. At the age of sixteen, she was obsessed with Cyclops and was devastated when he got engaged to Phoenix. Enraged, she stormed the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning and killed the X-Men, discovering her abilities.

Adopting the codename "Jewel," she scoured the globe attempting to find that spark. After killing Doctor Strange, she stole the Eye of Agamotto and started traveling the Multiverse. Finding herself drawn to the Luke Cage of Earth-616, she sought to take over the life of his wife Jessica Jones-Cage. To accomplish her mission, she blackmailed a number of her counterparts to do her bidding, creating The Variants.

Jewel and her Variants

She attempted to kidnap Cage's daughter, Dani Cage, but when she broke into her room at Luke Cage and Jessica Jones' Apartment, she instead found her prime variant. Jewel tricked her counterpart into thinking she was friendly. Mrs. Cage then surprised her by regrouping with two variants Jewel was unaware of: Captain America and Omega. Joining with another unknown variant, Knightress, they went back to the apartment. Through conversation, Prime realized that Jewel had targeted her daughter. As they turned on the youngest Jones, she revealed she had brought more Jessicas to help her, assembling The Variants.

Prime engaged Jewel, while the others took on The Variants. Luke Cage snuck up on her, allowing Prime to defeat Jessica. The Variants then turned on their leader and beat her up. Dr. Wanda Strange, the sister of one of her first victims, arrived and cuffed her before sending the interdimensional travelers home.
