History

Ji Shuangshuang was a demon hunter and the descendant of Nü-wa. She began hunting demons after the seal in Chiyou's first tomb was broken and the Sword of Fu Xi was taken. Following three of the demons to Shanghai, she discovered Lin Lie and the Sword and one of Chiyou's Spirit Orbs in his possession. After Lie demanded answers, she stabbed him with the sword showing him a vision of their ancestors defeating Chiyou. Seeking other demons in the area, she took the soul of Chiyou and left. Doctor Strange used his magic to teleport Lie to Shuangshuang so that Lie could learn the value of teamwork in finding his missing father. After they defeated the demons, Shuangshuang was contacted by her grandmother, who ordered her to return to home with Lie and the Sword. The two recruited Lie's friend Ah Cheng to drive them to Gansu, which originally went off to a bad start when Shuangshuang beat up Cheng for stealing a phone from an obnoxious businessman. Shuangshuang and her friends helped her grandmother and the Nü-wa Clan defend the Nü-wa mansion when it was attacked by Chiyou's demons. Afterwards, Xiangyun took Shuangshuang and Lie to the tomb containing Chiyou's body and used her magic to show memories of Chiyou's sealing and release, as well as the last moments of Lie's father before his disappearance. Shuangshuang was ordered by her grandmother to start training Lie.

Shuangshuang was later entrusted with the Bands of Nü-wa by Xiangyun. When Lin Feng arrived at the Nü-wa mansion with a horde of Chiyou's demons, including a giant demonic centipede, to destroy Chiyou's second tomb, Shuangshuang and the Nü-wa Clan attempted to stop him, but were defeated. Feng then took the Bands from Shuangshuang's unconscious body.
