She is the mother of Syd Barret. Since she was a baby, Syd did not like to be touched and Joan raised her normally, but she could never touch her, one day Joan had guests in her home and a woman wanted to touch Syd's shoulder, but she got scared and changed for the worse. Joan was talking and getting drunk with her journalist boyfriend when her daughter told her she was going out. When she returned, Syd found her mother sleeping. Syd touched her by changing places. Syd in her mother's body went to the bathroom where Joan's boyfriend was at the time. Syd had sex with him. Syd returned to her body even though she continued to have intercourse.[3]
Joan woke up on the sofa, went to the bathroom where the man continued to bathe, when he saw Syd there, he believed that he had raped her and the man was arrested by the police.[1]
Later, while still a teenager, Syd was taken to a psychiatric hospital, she was tied to a bed and Joan was with her.[1]Notes
