History

Black Skull's history is presumably similar to his Earth-616 counterpart's.

He bonded with the Venom symbiote at an unknown point in time after it was separated from the hero Nighthawk.[2] He along with the Masters of Doom began attacking different locations in Washington, D.C.. He targeted the Capitol Building with help from Hydra soldiers and took Congress hostage. He was opposed by Nighthawk. After Nighthawk took care of the Hydra soldiers with help from Blade the Vampire Hunter, he attacked Black Skull.[3]

Skull was defeated and imprisoned in Ravencroft Asylum. He was one of the prisoners freed after the Goblin staged a takeover of Ravencroft. Nighthawk eventually arrived to retake the prison. While fighting Skull, the symbiote attempted to rebond with Nighthawk, which angered Skull. Nighthawk subdued Skull and the symbiote by using a sonic device on his belt that stunned the symbiote.[2]

He joined the Multiversal Masters of Evil, with whom he slaughtered hundreds of prehistoric Avengers, rewriting history of Earth across the Multiverse. The Black Skull claimed Earth-21170 (transformed Earth-818) as his own,[4] turning it into a prison world. He was eventually separated from the Symbiote by All-Rider and chained in the middle of a desert that he had created.[5]

Notes

  • As an enemy of Batman pastiche Nighthawk, Black Skull is possibly a pastiche of Batman villains Two-Face and/or Bane.
