Johann Shmidt's early history is unknown, though it is presumably similar to the Johann Shmidt of Earth-616.
The Red Skull planned to invade the United States of America on its bicentennial using the power of the Cosmic Cube. Prior to his invasion, he kidnapped Captain America to make his plan easier. However, Captain America managed to convert the Cube's loyalty away from the Red Skull by feeding it Hostess Twinkies, thus foiling the Red Skull's plan and allowing him to escape.[1]Attributes
