History
Daken was the son of James Howlett (Wolverine) and Itsu. In this reality, Wolverine caught the Winter Soldier in the act of murdering Itsu. Wolverine killed him and managed to cut the infant John out of his lifeless mother's body.
James took John to Tibet in an attempt to raise him right. James sensed evil in his son, but he and Daken lived a peaceful life until their peace was disturbed when Charles Xavier came to try and recruit James.
John became increasingly violent and one day Sabretooth showed up to kidnap him. He threw John off a cliff before being killed by James with the Muramasa Blade. However, the damage was done, and John realized that his father had been lying to him and left for Japan to become a crime boss. James eventually tracked him down and killed his son with the Muramasa Blade before committing suicide.[1]Attributes

- Regenerative Healing Factor: Daken has an accelerated healing factor that allows him to rapidly regenerate any damaged, missing or destroyed bodily tissues, cells, limbs and organs. Due to his highly efficient healing factor, Daken is immune to all Earthly poisons, toxins, venom, viruses, bacteria, diseases, disorders, and parasites.
- Telepathic Resistance: As a side-effect of his healing factor, Daken has demonstrated a natural resistance to telepathy and psionic intrusions.
- Retractable Bone Claws: Daken possesses three retractable claws housed beneath the skin and muscle of his forearms, two claws which emerge from between the skin of his first and third knuckles and one from his inner wrist.
