History
J. Jonah Jameson is a reporter for the Daily Bugle, a popular, yet controversial, New York City news and media outlet. He received and broadcasted doctored footage taken by Mysterio during a battle against Spider-Man in London which pinned his drone attack on the webslinging hero, and then showed footage in which Mysterio revealed Spider-Man's true identity to be Peter Parker.[1]

- J.K. Simmons portrays J. Jonah Jameson in Spider-Man: Far From Home, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Spider-Man: No Way Home and will reprise his role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Trivia
- J.K. Simmons previously portrayed John Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy. When asked to reprise his role, Simmons called Raimi and asked for his blessing.[2]
- Simmons also appeared as Commissioner Jim Gordon in the DC Extended Universe film Justice League.
- To offer a better reflection of the changes in the state of journalism, this portrayal of J. Jonah Jameson borrowed inspiration from infamous radio show host and far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.[3]
