History
John "Machine Gun" Martin was a notorious mobster who earned his nom de guerre for his choice of weapon, the machine gun. Martin was locked away for his crimes in the early 1930s. Breaking out of prison he was on the run from the law, until Martin was abducted by a Skrull Slave-Master from the planet Kral IV. On Kral, the style, mannerisms, and speech of Martin so fascinated the Skrulls there they began adopting the culture, co-opted from footage they took of Earth as well as from Martin himself. Before his death, Machine Gun Martin had influenced the entire planet of Kral to adopt the esthetics of Martin's era. Kral's inhabitants even erected a statue of him in his memory.[2]
Martin's disappearance remained a mystery for years on Earth, although UFO sightings around the time of his disappearance added to the wild speculations of the time. His disappearance was later reported upon in a 1939 edition of the Daily Bugle.[1]
The fate of Machine Gun Martin was not learned until many decades later during the modern age, when the planet Kral was visited by members of the Fantastic Four.[2][3][3]
Martin's legacy endures to this very days with the majority of Skrulls on Kral IV still adopting the trappings of Machine Gun's era.Paraphernalia
