History
Origins[]
Doctor Johnathon Ohnn was a scientist at Alchemax who worked with Doctor Octavius on a particle super-collider capable of opening portals throughout the multiverse for the Kingpin. Jonathon managed to transport a radioactive spider from Earth-42 to his home of Earth-1610B in an early test with the collider, which would eventually escape and bite Miles Morales, giving him spider-like abilities similar to the hero Spider-Man.
When a later test with the collider brought multiple variants of Spider-Man to Earth-1610, the stability of the multiverse was disrupted and the collider was made capable of creating a black hole that could absorb the entirety of New York City, the collider's location. Following the death of Spider-Man, the alternate spider heroes, along with Miles, became a team known as the Spider-Gang to shut down the collider for good. When they arrived at the collider, they were all sent back to their home dimensions, save for Miles, who caused the collider to explode.
Unbeknownst to Miles, Jonathon was still inside the facility, and was caught in the energy generated by the collider's explosion, which mutated his form and gave him chalk-white skin, erased all his facial features, and covered his skin with small, swirling wormholes he could use to teleport items and people through. Shunned by his friends and family and even losing his job at Alchemax, Jonathon became bitter and petty, becoming resentful towards Miles, now the new Spider-Man, and prepared for a life of crime as the supervillain known as "The Spot".[1][2]
Rise to Power[]
After a year of studying and testing his powers, the Spot began his life of crime by attempting to rob a convenience store in Brooklyn, where he encountered Spider-Man. The two fought throughout the city through the Spot's wormholes, with the Spot trying to convince Spider-Man that he was his nemesis. However, even after he explained his origins to Miles, he realized that Spider-Man only saw him as a joke. Enraged, the Spot attempted to attack Spider-Man, but he accidentally kicked himself into one of his wormholes, which stunned him and ended the fight.
The Spot wound up in the Spotted Dimension, a realm of wormholes that he realized could be used to travel the multiverse. Returning to Earth-1610B, the Spot decided to use another dimension's particle collider to supercharge himself with wormholes and truly prove himself as Spider-Man's greatest enemy. Constructing a miniature particle collider in his apartment to give himself a boost, he began jumping throughout the multiverse before finally reaching Earth-50101B, a world with a particle collider to suit his needs.
Unfortunately for the Spot, he had been tracked by the Spider-Woman of Earth-65B, and followed to this world by her and Miles Morales. With the help of the Spider-Man of this world and Spider-Punk, Miles and Gwen put up a fierce fight, but despite their best efforts, the Spot reached the collider and activated it, allowing himself to merge with its energy. This increased his powers to godlike status and further mutated him into a physically unstable, transdimensional being of near infinite power. Now fully prepared, the Spot declared he would take away everything from Spider-Man, and so returned to Earth-1610B to decimate Brooklyn and kill Miles' father, Jeff Morales, as he'd seen in a vision of the future.[1]Attributes

Notes
- Jason Schwartzman voices the Spot in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. He will reprise the role in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
- Spot's height was listed as 5'10" on his Tastykake collectible card made as promotional material for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. However, because the cards also listed his reality as Earth-616 and Jessica Drew's reality as Earth-404, their overall accuracy is dubious.
Trivia
- Veteran Spider-Man writer Dan Slott pitched the idea to retroactively establish that Dr. Ohnn was the background scientist hit by Miles Morales with a bagel in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.[3]
