History
Johnny Frames was the lover of Deborah, a woman from the wicked town of Starkesboro.[1] His own origin remains unclear (see notes).
They were to be married, but despite Frames' pleas, Deborah returned to Starksboro, caught by the influence of the city, and was in the power of her people.
As Clea and Wong came close to Starksboro, on the trail of Doctor Strange, Frames approached them, soliciting their help to free Deborah. At that moment, the locals, led by their priestess Ebora ambushed them. Despite a good fight from the trio, they were defeated and captured, taken as sacrifices to N'Gabthoth's Roost, the sacred cliff of the N'Gabthoth, the Shambler from the Sea.[1]Notes
- It is unclear if Johnny Frames was originated from Starkesboro (and somewhat escaped transformation so far), or if he was. In any case, he was aware of at least part of Starkesboro's secret, describing the town as "wicked" and fearing it, noticing the appearance change of its inhabitants, as well their twisted influence on her fiancée, and describing them as "the troglodytes of Starksboro".[1]
