Jose Santos was assigned to Sergeant Polkow's platoon by Top.[1]

Santos participated in the Paul Revere mission where Ralph Marchese was killed.[2]

In late October of 1966, Santos was also assigned by Polkow to patrol Saigon during National Day.[3]

In March of 1967, Santos was introduced by Sergeant Polkow to Lt. Alarnick, their new platoon leader.[4]

He later participated in a pacifying mission in South Vietnam.[5]

Despite being short to return home, Santos was assigned mission duty by Lt. Alarnick.[6]
