Joshua was killed in a stagecoach robbery that he led when he tore the handkerchief from the robber's face, recognizing him as Big Bart. Later, his son Danny and Marshal Wyatt Earp staged a situation where Danny became a bandit to expose the perpetrators of the murder, succeeding perfectly with Wyatt Earp who killed Big Bart.[1]
