Synopsis for "Worlds at War!"
Martians land and threaten to invade and destroy all Earth life and then return to Mars. The Communist and Capitalist nations pool resources to build a spaceship capable of reaching Mars to convince them to call off the invasion. When they arrive on Mars they are greeted by friendly Martians who announce that they have been expecting them. Although they claim to be advanced technologically, they are a peaceful race with no weapons, and made their threat in order to present a common enemy with which to unify the people of Earth. The representatives from Earth part with the Martians on friendly terms.

Synopsis for "Three Who Vanished"
Three alien spies disappear suddenly while gathering intelligence on Earth's land, sea and air. Back on their home world, one of the aliens is surprised and dismayed to learn that the information will be used for an invasion of Earth. He has grown to like living among the people of Earth and resolves to sabotage the invasion plans and returns to Earth in order to live out the rest of his days.

Synopsis for "Uneasy Lies the Head!"
The universe is ruled by a wise man only known as "Leader". However after the leader is attacked by an assassin a concerned doctor discovers he's in fact a robot. The story ends with in cliffhanger as the Leader's assistant adresses the reader to choose if the secret should be revealed.

Synopsis for "Adrift in Space!"
A cetic space sergeant takes his young cadet into a rescue mission. For their atonishiment both see a "mother" asteroid come rescue her son. After this experience the sergeant allows the cadet to keep reading his science fiction books.

Synopsis for "The Green Fog!"
After an astronaut returns from the first space journey a strange green fog comes out of his ship and engulfs the world. Initially humans are frightened but after the fog dissipates they find it has improved the planet and also helped in repeal their fear of the unknown.
