A native chief comes across aliens that dwell inside the volcano that occupies his tribe's island home. They are plotting an invasion of Earth. They let him go as they realize no one would believe him. Against his tribe's wishes, the native chief decides to take the money offered by the United States for the property so they can use it for atomic bomb tests. From their relocation spot, the man and his people watch the destruction of the aliens and he muses that some day he will tell the angry tribesmen why he sold their home.

The humans think they have scared him off, but inside he communicates with one of his own kind that the humans are barbarians which still possess weapons and must be quarantined for another 1,000 years.
