The leader of a gang of motorcycle crooks is convinced a TV script writer must have a spy among his gang because he puts accurate crime details in his dramas. He confronts the writer after a chase only to learn that he has unknowingly confessed on live television in the studio.

Synopsis for "Bird Talk"
Tony Tipple wanted to have a parakeet, like many of his friends but couldn't afford it. After seeing the evolutions of his friend Toodles Murphy's parakeet, he went home sad but on the way he met a garishly dressed man. Asking him who he was and what he did, the man replied that he was taking a bird census but that of the earphones he used to listen to the birds, one had fallen off and he couldn't find it and the other wasn't working well. After chatting with Tony and giving him some information about birds, the strange man left and soon after Tony found the earpiece that he had lost. By wearing it he discovered that he really could listen to the birds and understand them to the point of being able to make pigeons listen to him, becoming the envy of the other inhabitants of the town. Thanks to this, Tony became a true expert and scholar of ornithology without anyone knowing that he could really talk to birds.

Synopsis for "Quarantine"
Sometime in the future a man is being hunted down by a council to stop a deadly disease he has been inflicted by but the man suggests the only way to obtain him is by force. Violence unknown to the council decided to evacuate the city instead. Over time the man became lonely and bored and gave himself over to the council where in it reveals that the "affliction" he carries is that of a historical gun he stole from a museum and that the disease was violence. With the gun removed from his person the affliction could be cured.
Ditko retells a very similar story in Tales to Astonish #44.

Synopsis for "Cyclops"
A WWII destroyer is torpedoed in the Mediterranean; one boatload of survivors, including Capt. Niles Ulysses Barret, come ashore on an island where they recapitulate the adventure of Odysseus and his crew with Polyphemus the Cyclops, as related in Book 9 of Homer's Odyssey.
