History

Joy Mercado was a reporter for the Daily Bugle who often came in contact with Spider-Man.

At Captain Jean DeWolff's funeral, Joy was told by Reverend Tolliver about the police slackness in dealing such cases.

Joy and Lance Bannon were assigned by J. Jonah Jameson to cover the story about General Musgrave's peace medal award ceremony.

She reported to Ben Urich that her source in the special investigation unit told her that some holographic projectors were stolen to simulate an earthquake, probably for an armored car robbery, but the scheme was eventually abandoned for unknown reasons.

Like other reporters, Joy was once invited to lunch by J. Jonah Jameson, who then left the restaurant without paying the bill.
