History
Jubilee was a student of the New Mutants Leadership Institute. At some point, she met the fellow mutant Sooraya Qadir and helped her get accustomed to the life in America, inadvertently turning her into a mall rat like her.[2]
They became great friends and were both known for never doing what they were told.[3] Once, on a mission to Japan, their colleague Laurie Garrison turned on them and used her power to have Sooraya fight Jubilee, revealing she had always hated the two of them. Sooraya was severely injuring Jubilee, who refused to fight, but before she could do too much harm, Cessily Kincaid intervened and killed Laurie.[2]Attributes
