History
Jubilation Lee grew up in a life of privilege, with wealthy parents who gave her everything she could ever want. But everything changed when they gifted her a private corner of cyberspace—where she discovered she carried the Exe gene.
The revelation came as a shock when she accidentally launched a pixel blast at her friend Alison during a game of tag in her digital server. Adopting the screen name "Jubilee," she was thrilled by her new powers, but kept them hidden from her parents, knowing their deep prejudice against Exes as portrayed in the media.
Despite her family's wealth, Jubilee felt more at home online, spending her time in digital arcades and marketplaces with other teens. She secretly put on dazzling light shows for her friends but soon realized her abilities could serve a greater purpose. Though raised in high society, she wasn’t blind to the discrimination faced by Exes like herself.
Resentful of her parents’ biases, Jubilee took a stand. She crashed her father’s company press conference, stepping in front of the cameras and projecting a bold light message: “Join the Revolution.” She then blacked out all nearby pixels, vanishing before she could be caught. Not long after, Charles Xavier approached her with an offer to join the X-Men—further igniting her commitment to fighting for equality.[1]
