History

Judex and Musidora were the first ones to die in the service of the Concordance Engine.

Trivia

Judex is a character who appeared in a French film serial released in 1916 and is currently in the public domain. Judex is considered a predecessor of The Shadow. Interestingly, The Shadow strips were renamed Judex when published in France in the 1940s. In Defenders #8, Judex is referred to as "Judex, the Shadow".
