History
Juliet Marcos was a student at Empire State University who had been feeling invisible for a while. She developed a crush on Anna Romney, one of her floormates at the dormitory, although Anna never acknowledged her existence.[1]

As a civilian
Juliet volunteered to be a beta tester for the Arcadium, a fantasy-fulfilling simulation program created by Arcade and Mentallo. In her fantasy, Anna chased her to Venice and confessed her love to Juliet, with the two becoming romantically involved and traveling Europe together.[4] Juliet, alongside other testers of Arcadium, went missing for days, due to being addicted to the dopamine-inducing Arcadium.[5] Eventually, Juliet and the Arcadium's other victims were freed from the program after it was disabled by the Spider-Men, who were investigating the disappearances linked to the Arcadium,[6] but the loss of their fantasies brought great trauma to all those involved, so they started a therapy group together to share their experiences.[1]
While attending group therapy, Juliet became more confident in herself and when Anna visited the Coffee Bean, she decided to finally approach her with the encouragement of her new friends. However, when Anna confessed to not knowing her, Juliet became increasingly embarrassed and activated some previously unknown powers by assuming a gaseous form quickly followed by water, fire and earth.[7]
After she calmed down, her friends assured her that everything would be OK and the two Spider-Man got in contact with some of their super powered acquaintances to help her understand the origin of her powers and train her in their use. After this, she also talked with Anna and the two agreed to be friends.[8]
With Sha Shan Nguyen's guidance, Juliet learned to control her transformations, while Mia DiMaria confirmed her powers were magical in nature, awakened by her trauma from the Arcadium and her heartbreak. Though initially uninterested in heroics, she stepped in when the Spider-Men faced the two Electros, Max Dillon and Francine Frye, donning a costume conjured by Mia and introducing herself as Elementary.[2]
Later, while demonstrating her powers in Central Park, Juliet angered the native seelies and was shrunk, along with her friends, to face judgment at the Seelie Court. However, Queen Mabh, sensing her pure heart, restored their sizes and let them go.[9] After this, Juliet grew more confident in herself and her abilities, but she started feeling frustrated when handling petty crimes. Noticing this, Sha Shan decided to bring in her patient Imani Greene for a talk, which helped Juliet understand the deeper meaning of being a true hero. When the Electros attacked the Coffee Bean to confront the Spider-Men again, Juliet stepped in to help. Unfortunately, the three were overpowered, since the Electros had previously forced Dr. Curt Connors to amplify their powers.[10]
Anna was electrocuted and gravely injured when she attempted to protect Juliet from the Electros, but they were all saved when the Electros were driven off by the Lizard and Connors. Anna's girlfriend, Rickie Lund, blamed Juliet for Anna's injuries, leaving her heartbroken. Juliet fled to the Arcadium ruins to be alone. Worried for her safety, Juliet's friends and the superhero community searched the whole city for her and the Spider-Men were able to find her at the Arcadium. Approaching her in their civilian identities of Peter Parker and Miles Morales, they informed Juliet of Anna's recovery and that Rickie was sorry for what she said to her. Juliet was moved when she was told of how many people she touched and resolved to continue helping those in need as Elementary.[3]Attributes
