Caesar was the emperor of Rome. At some point during his reign, a rip in the time/space continuum sent him to a public park in 1970s America, scaring away a group of people picnicking there. Nick Fury sent Captain America to investigate. When he arrived, he found that Caesar and his army had eaten some Hostess Twinkies Cakes left by the picnickers and were impressed by the quality of the food in the future. Caesar and Captain America reached an agreement that Caesar would peacefully return to his time with the assistance of S.H.I.E.L.D. if he was allowed to take enough Twinkies with him to enjoy on the way.[1]
