A disgraced king without a kingdom, Jumel hired Conan to find and deliver the Mask of Demuzaar to him in order to appropriate Demuzaar's treasure while Conan would die from the mask's powers.
Conan survived the exposure of the mask, which he had delivered to King Jumel, causing his court to be irradiated by the mask, and putting an end to his life and that of his men.[1]
