History
The past history of Sumo of Earth-21993 mirrors that of his Earth-616 counterpart. However, the divergence would occur when Charles Xavier returned from space following his captivity at the hands of the Skrulls. Ultimately, Xavier was murdered by the MLF's primary enemy Cable. In the wake of Xavier's death, the Mutant Liberation Front ramped up its acts of terror against humanity.
Sumo was involved in a full out attack on the X-Men at the X-Mansion to soften them up for an attack by Fenris, Savage Land Mutates, and the Hellfire Club.[1] Sumo's fate following this attack remains unrevealed.
