On Earth-9047, Junkfu Manchu was an unethical restaurant owner who exploited his naïve son and cook Shang-Chew to provide fast food, including pig-snouts and pantyhose in burgers instead of beef, and to the point of killing Shang's pet dog Sax to use its corpse as false beef. When Shang Chew discovered this thanks to health inspector Sir Denis Kitchen, Shang became Junkfu's enemy, opening a chain of tofu restaurants as a way to oppose his father without physical violence.[1]
