History

J.A.R.V.I.S. was an Artificial Intelligence assistant of Iron Man. His name was given in honor of Jarvis.[1]

Chitauri Invasion[]

After finishing a project with Stark to install clean energy in Stark Tower, J.A.R.V.I.S. was contacted by Agent Phil Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D., who wanted to talk with Stark. Stark kept trying to lock Coulson out of the system, but Coulson was able to override J.A.R.V.I.S.' protocols and talk with Stark.

Later, when trying to stop Loki's portal, J.A.R.V.I.S. turned off the arc reactor powering it, but was unsuccessful as it was already self-sustaining. During the same confrontation, J.A.R.V.I.S. deployed the MK VII after Loki threw him out of the building, rescuing him and readying him for battle. From there, J.A.R.V.I.S. helped Tony analyse the Leviathans for potential weak points. [1]

Cosmic Brick Crisis[]

He was once hacked and reprogrammed by the Mandarin to see the Avengers as the enemy before having his programming restored by Iron Man and Captain America.[2]

Age of Ultron[]

Upon retrieving Loki's Scepter from Baron Strucker's hideout, Tony had J.A.R.V.I.S. analyze the scepter, with the two deciding to use it to create Ultron, a project they had talked about for a while. Initially thinking their project unsuccessful, J.A.R.V.I.S. witnessed the creation of Ultron on his own, being attacked by him upon trying to brief him on his mission. His programming seemingly destroyed, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner were able to recover him, combining JARVIS with the Mind Stone and Ultron's base programming to create Vision.[1] He was replaced by F.R.I.D.A.Y.[3]
