J.A.R.V.I.S' history was similar to his Earth-199999 counterpart until his creator Tony Stark was saved by Erik Killmonger from an attempted Ten Rings terrorist attack. Upon his return home, Tony worked with Killmonger on the latter's MIT thesis project for a working combat drone with JARVIS in control of the system.
When the duo realized they would need Vibranium, they set up a deal with black market arms dealer Ulysses Klaue in order to gain it. This ended with the deaths of James Rhodes and Prince T'Challa, both murders of which were captured by JARVIS' AI system. Though when Stark presented Killmonger with this information, Erik killed Stark and wiped any footage of the event from JARVIS' system.
JARVIS AI system was then seized by the U.S. Military and forced to become part of the drone army's Hive Mind matrix.[1]
