Justice Payne was a super-powered judge who presided over New York County Family Court, Superhuman Division. She presided over the court session in the lawsuit brought by The Wizard to have Bentley-23 custody, as a clone of himself and consequently considered by him to be his son. After the confusion that arose in the courtroom when Diablo arrived, summoned as a witness by the Wizard, Justice Payne made full use of her energy emission powers to calm the situation.[1]
Justice Payne brought the lawsuit to an end while retaining Bentley-23 custody in favor of Dragon Man after the revelation by a surprise new witness who claimed to be the real Bentley Wittman and that the Wizard was a clone of him named Bentley-2, not knowing it was a subterfuge devised by Bentley-23 who had cloned a perfect Bentley Wittman to the point that the real Wizard accepted the fact that he was a clone. At the end of the case, Justice Payne chased everyone out of her courtroom very abruptly.[2]Attributes
