History
Origin[]
K'Liluna is one the eldest of the Ennead, a child of Ra himself, though by her sister Bast admission she and her fellow deities were originally mortal beings who apotheosized to divinity through being worshiped.[3]
Wakanda[]
10,000 years ago in what would one day be known as Wakanda was home to a collection of primitive human tribes. It was during this time a massive meteorite made of a sound and energy-absorbing mineral, which would later be known as vibranium crashed to Earth. One of the tribes, led by Bashenga, its mightiest warrior, decided to investigate, believing this to be a gift from the gods. When they reached the crater, they found that the material vibrated and decided it would be useful to forge into weapons. However, the radiation the meteorite gave off also had a side effect, turning some of the tribesmen into "Demon Spirits". Bashenga prayed to the "Panther God" to give him the strength to defeat these demons, becoming her avatar and the first "Black Panther" since prehistoric times and uniting the tribes to form the nation of Wakanda. His lineage would later rule the country for centuries.[4]
Alongside Thoth, Kokou, Mujaji, Ptah, and Nyami, K'Liluna is a member of the pantheon of Wakanda, known as Orisha. The humans and the Orisha defeated the Originators and banished them to the Nether-Realms beyond a group of gates. As part of their duty, the Orisha became guardians of these gates.[5]
Attempted Betrayal and Banishment[]
According to Wakandan Lore, K'liluna wanted to assume all the power and authority at the dawn of Wakanda's founding out of jealousy for her sister Bast. K'liluna attempted to destroy her sister Bast to assume power but was defeated and cast into oblivion. Her story was kept until modern day Wakanda as a cautionary tale that anger and vengeance lead to ruin, and her name was sparsely spoken anymore as punishment for her ambition.[6]
Killmonger[]
In the modern era, K'liluna came to contact the wayward Wakanda orphan N'Jadaka after he had been betrayed and nearly killed by his associates. The goddess decided to spur on N'Jadaka's quest for vengeance and pushed him to take up the name "Killmonger" while coaxing him with the means to foster new strength and repay the debt of blood he owed to everyone whom had ever crossed or abandoned him.
N'Jadaka conversed with his new patron goddess about his questionable sanity, but the war goddess reassured him the the strength given through her teachings was more than real enough, and that it was all that matters. Once again Killmonger was met by his former mother goddess, Bast, who demanded that Erik stop what he was doing, but was ignored. Soon, N'Jadaka met up with Knight again at an old cathedral where she exchanged the USB he'd handed her in the first place. Killmonger went on to explain that it did not in fact download anything, but uploaded falsified information to incriminate Knight in ongoing criminal conduct to the spy division's mainframe, forever tarnishing any hope for a new life Patricia had hoped to find. Just then a cadre of special agents descended upon their location looking to apprehend their wayward asset, but N'Jadaka quickly and efficiently dispatched them all in a grizzly fashion. Just as his captive audience tried to profess her innocence, Erik Killmonger continued to ruthlessly gun down her would-be detainers, further incriminating Patricia in the deed. When his old flame tried to deal with him herself, Erik fatally stabbed her before mentioning that her sister was already dead. During Patricia's death, she witnessed K'Liluna laughing over her complete control over N'Jadaka as her greatest follower.[6]Attributes
