History

Kára and her fellow Disir were the Valkyries of Bor. As punishment for their consorting with Sigurd, Bor placed a curse upon the Disir: they would only be able to consume the shades of gods exiled from their true homes. In doing this, Bor intended the Disir to be hungry forever.
