History

Kaine was a clone of Spider-Man created by Jackal. He murdered Louise Kennedy, accidentally framing Peter. When Peter was in prison, Kaine took the opportunity to kidnap his girlfriend, Mary Jane Watson. He was tracked down by Spider-Man, who had broken out of prison, and rescued Mary Jane.

Kaine was later hunted and killed by Kraven the Hunter. He was eventually resurrected and infected with the Spider-Virus. After failing to get revenge on Kraven, he joined the Spider-Men.

As Tarantula

He followed the Spider-Men to Klyntar to hide from humanity; however, after the Spider-Force was formed on the planet, Tarantula rejoined them. Tarantula befriended Anti-Venom and he returned him to human form, albeit with an extra pair of arms. Kaine took on a version of the Spider-Suit and he was nicknamed "The Six-Armed Spider-Man". After Brock was corrupted by Dormammu, Kaine freed his friend by taking on his curse. Kaine was transformed into a form resembling Webslinger.
