History
During the 15th century, Baron Karl Haasen III ruled Latveria.[1][2]
At his death in 1447,[1][2] without a direct heir, Karl's arrogant and shiftless nephew[1] Vlad Draasen ascended to the throne,[1][2] and his difficult rule divided the country,[2] opening a rift between the Draasen Baronies and the royal Haasen line that led to 90 years of intermitent civil war, the Haasen/Draasen Wars.[1]
