She was subsequently hired by Iceman to manage public relations for the X-Men.[1] At some point during the Avengers/X-men conflict, Mister Sinister created a para-personality in Kate's appearance in order to survive the Phoenix Five. Using this new body, Sinister killed Kate.[3]
