History
Early Life[]
Kate was the youngest of three siblings and grew up idolizing her brother John the same way he idolized their older brother Michael but she ended up losing contact with both by the time that Valerie Cooper recruited John as Super-Patriot.[2]
Government Service[]
She became a government agent to follow her brother's footsteps and met the future U.S.Agent April Manning; despite their different worldviews she saw in him a chance to really change things for the better and the two became lovers. She was deployed to Ephraim in West Virginia to protect the remains of a test subject for the Kaiju Formula but while there she was exposed to a volatile fuel cell that caused her to become psychotic and turned her hair purple.[6]
Super-Patriot[]
While deployed at Ephraim with some agents she ran into her brother John after they had been estranged for years[7] and despite their attempt to reconnect they ended up having an argument due to their different political views and the fact that she, in her delusions, had become convinced that Michael had killed himself. This angered John and he left moments before Manning arrived and killed Kate's men.[2]
Together they planned to steal the Kaiju's remains to secure the supply of Kaiju Serum so while Manning dealt with Battlestar she stole a S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier and kicked off her brother when he boarded it.[5]
In reality Kate in her delusions had decided to usurp the mantle of America's protector from them and to expose the government's secrets[1] and to destroy Ephraim by dropping the Helicarrier on it as she thought that its simple-minded population was ignorant and evil.[6]
After fashioning a shield for herself she rechristened herself "Super-Patriot" and fought with Manning when he boarded the Helicarrier and despite managing to wound him she was defeated when he shot her in the head, her brother found her and rescued her. After the battle she was taken to the I.C.U. before being admitted to a psych ward in the hope that she could get better.[1]Personality
Kate idolized her brother and wished to be like him. Despite having more liberal views she considered country folks from rural communities to be nothing more than ignorant and racist hicks and felt a deep sense of hatred for them.[2][6]
After being exposed to the fuel she developed a psychosis and became violent, unstable and delusional.[8]Attributes
